1. Daddy Daughter Date
First, he took the two girls on a daddy-daughter date. They went on a real hike...rocky trails, inclines, mud, water. Ben thought it was going to be this easy hike, but it was actually 1 1/2 miles (which doesn't seem that long, but then you have to hike back out...and three miles is a long distance for a little 3 and 5 yr old.) On the way back, Ben picked up both girls and ran part of the way! Whew! The girls had a great time; and even got an ice cream afterwards.
2. Father-Son Campout
The next day, Ben and Chris went on their first ever...Father-Son Campout!! Chris loved being outside and next to the fire! He was definitely the youngest camper. All the other boys just loved to entertain him. They had a lot of fun!

I love the pictures. What adventure for Ben to hike so far with those two girls. Saturday, Joseph and I hiked to the top of Squaw peak by the way of Rock Canyon. It was almost nine miles round trip. It was hard and I am glad that we did not try to take Scottie. What troopers both Ben and the girls are.
I bet Ben and Chris loved the campout. Joseph took Scottie on his first one the spring after he turned a year. They didn't have a father son campout to celebrate the birthday of the Aaronic priesthood out here. It was very sad.
How fun! It looks like you guys are still busy even with a new baby. How fun!
